Silence FAQs
First of all, Silence Scooters accelerate faster, than a regular 125cc combustion engine. In fact, the S01 and the S02 High Speed only take 3.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h. Furthermore, Silence scooters do not cause any noise, emissions or vibrations and are almost maintenance free. This increases the stability of your scooter and provides you a comfortable and new driving experience.
Both the S01 and the S02 High Speed are equivalent to a 125cc class scooter, which means that one of the following driving licenses is required:
- A
- A1
- B100 – After 7 hours of theoretical and practical lessons, you will be allowed to drive a 125cc scooter, however only in Luxembourg.
For the S02 Low Speed, which is equivalent to a 50cc class scooter, the regular car drivers license (B) is sufficient.
With a range of up to 149 km (depending on the model), Silence scooters are designed to give you a high-performance driving experience, superior to conventional combustion engines. The scooters offer 3 different driving modes and a reverse mode, full LED lighting and attractive extras such as connectivity via the Sim app, a regenerative brake and CBS system (Combined Braking System). A digital speedometer that displays speed, charging level, remaining kilometers and battery temperature are also included.
The S01 (both in 125 cc and 50 cc variant) and the S02 High Speed are equipped with a 5.6 kWh removable battery. With the S02 Low Speed you can choose between the small battery of 2 kWh and the 5.6 kWh battery.
2 kWh batteries take 3-4 hours to go from empty to fully charged and the 5.6kWh batteries take between 6 and 8 hours.
All of our scooters have a removable trolley-style battery system. Users can easily remove the battery of the scooter and directly charge it at a conventional socket. You also have the possibility to charge the battery inside the scooter, by plugging the SCHUKO cable into a conventional socket. Either way, no special plug is required.
The batteries have been developed by Silence. Even after 1000 charging cycles, the batteries still have a capacity of over 97%. They are manufactured in their own factory, according to European quality standards that guarantee the highest quality and safety. In the event of a breakdown or malfunction of the batteries, they can be replaced or repaired.
